The UNESCO International Forum on ICT and Education 2030 was held in Qingdao

    The UNESCO International Forum on ICT and Education 2030 themed with “Education Informationization under the 2030 Education Agenda” was held in Qingdao Shangri-La Hotel on July 10th and 11th.

    Mr. Stanley Mutumba Simataa, the president of the 38th session of the General Conference of UNESCO, attended the forum. The 2017 Qingdao Statement issued in the forum has made specific and feasible interpretation of the essence of the Qingdao Declaration formed in 2015 and the sustainable development goal of the 2030 education agenda.

    In the forum, about 250 international and domestic official representatives and over 200 inspectors from over 70 different countries had extensive exchanges and discussion on 5 topics namely “Sustainable Data Development Goal and Digital Innovation”, “National ICT Polices Paving the Way for Realizing Education Goal in 2030”, “ICT Transforming Electronic Schools and Institutions in the Future”, “Education and Learning Management” and “Planning the Future Path”.

    The signing ceremony of “China Educational Equipment Industry Park” was also held on the opening day. The park will be located in the International Innovation Park in Laoshan District, Qingdao. As the first educational equipment industry park in China, it aims to attract Chinese and overseas enterprises which have leading technologies, innovation and R & D capability and the commitment to provide excellent services to the education industry to enter the park, form the cluster effect and jointly promote rapid development of the educational equipment industry.

    This is the consecutive third time that The UNESCO International Forum on ICT and Education has been held in Qingdao. Qingdao will take this opportunity to vigorously carry forward educational informationiation, build itself into an international education center and provide precious experience and strong support for coordinated innovation and surmounting development of the education industry in countries alongside the belt and road.     “Science” loaded with new equipment set sail in Qingdao

    “Science”, the Chinese general-purpose oceanographic research vessel of a new generation, set sail on July 10th from the homeport in the West Coast New Area, Qingdao. It is loaded with a series of marine survey equipment including the ocean glider “Sea Wing”, the submersible “Explorer” and the unmanned cable controlled submersible “Discovery” to conduct reliability verification tests.

    The series of marine survey equipment used for reliability verification are developed under the strategic pioneering special project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences named “Western Pacific Ocean System: Structure, Dynamics and Consequences, WPOS”. According to Sun Song, the chief scientist of this special project, the stability of 12 underwater gliders, 1 set of unmanned submersible and Raman spectrum detector etc. will be tested this time in the South China Sea.

    Scientists will utilize this equipment to conduct a comprehensive survey to cold spring in the South China Sea.

    After the voyage in the South China Sea, “Science” will head for the Yap Trench to survey marine biology and ecology and will come back to Qingdao on late September as scheduled. Zhang Xudong

    Qingdao “liquid gold” makes the highest quality tires

    Spanish IDIAD, one of international authoritative tire testing organizations, has recently issued the written test reports of tire products of several size specifications of Qingdao Sailun Jinyu Group which confirm that their wet-kid resistance grades all can reach EU A level standard. This batch of tire products has also been subject to a road test. Their rolling resistance also can reach B level or even above. Moreover their abrasion resistance property also improves dramatically by 15% than conventional tires. That means their combination property has reached the world advanced level. Therefore Sailun Jinyu Company becomes the second enterprise in the world and the first enterprise in China to have the capability to manufacture such high-quality tire products.

    It is because of the use of “liquid gold” EVECTM invented by the EVE Rubber Institute that Sailun Jinyu can manufacture such high-quality tire products. This is a new material independently innovated by China. It is called “liquid gold” and chosen as a cover story by Tire Technology International, an international renowned journal. Currently, the related core technology has applied for 35 invention patents and signed 9 patent cooperation agreements. Even if it is only used for tread rubber and the original tire structure and tread pattern remain unchanged, the combination property of the tires can reach the highest quality grade in the world.     Qingdao technicians won the first place in the welding “World Cup”

    IIW CWS Arc Cup 2017 International Welding Competition has recently ended in Shanghai. The CRRC Sifang Co., Ltd. won the best team award in the welding “World Cup”.

    The IIW CWS Arc Cup International Welding Competition is jointly hosted by the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and the organizing committee of international welding skill contest (Arc Cup) and is called the “world cup” in the international welding circle.
