D311, China’s new type bullet sleeper train began running to the Shanghai Railway Station from the Beijing South Railway Station recently. The latest type bullet sleeper train, which designed and manufactured by CSR Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. led by the China Railway Corporation based on the CRH2E bullet sleeper train, adopts a brand new designto provide comfortable travel experience to passengers, each of whom can enjoy a berth as compartment.
The latest type of bullet sleeper train made in Qingdao consists of 16 trains; all of the sleepers inside are soft sleepers. The train, which can travel up to 250km per hour, can take up to 880 passengers. In both sides of the aisle lie double-deck sleepers, which are aligned with the running direction. Independent roomsenableeach passenger to enjoy his or own private space as compartment. Double-deck windows are adopted to enable passengers in both upper and lower sleepers to have a window.
The new type of bullet sleeper train provides more user-friendly facilities and services to meet passengers’ diverse demands. Each berth has a little table for passengers to place laptop, personal items, food and drinks, as well as independent charging dock, light, reading light, newspaper net, and newspaper bag for passenger to read and work during the travel.
Thanks to improved noise control technique, the noise in the carriage now is under 62 decibels. The extra low noise provide comfortable environment to passengers even in high-speed traveling.
With extended height, more space is available for passengers in upper sleeper, who will feel comfortable when sitting or standing. Each berth has a lazyback on the wall with adjustable angle to fit for passengers’ posture. Air outlet is designed for each berth to make traveling better. The train will travel through Ji’nan, Tianjin, Tongliao after departing from Qingdao. After leaving China through the Manchuria Port, the train will arrive in Moscow after passing the Zabaikalye frontier station. “The whole journey is 7,900km, 30 days less than shipping, transportation efficiency is greatly increased,” CRIMT Qingdao project department director Guo Jian said, the train currently contains 41 containers, with equipment, tire, household appliance from Jiaozhou, every use items from Yantai, building materials and fireproof materials from Henan are inside. The train is only available for export currently, one travel per month. Frequency will be increased later based on actual condition. The community, which has 410 households living on planting vegetable/fruits and tourism industry, produces more than 600kg kitchen waste per day. Different from Dry Waste, Wet Waste, mainly contained kitchen waste, is easy to pollute environment in collection and transfer with erosion and unpleasantsmell. The community introduced a machine developed jointly by a Beijing company and Tsinghua University to divide and process kitchen waste through fermenting without air.
The pretty small machine is in a dozens of square meters room. Community party general secretary Wang Gongde said, the machine contains three parts. The 1st part is to crush all waste except for bone, glass, plastic bag, shell; the 2nd part is to process oil separated; the 3rd part is a ferment zone to turn organic waste into high quality nitrogenous fertilizer with up to 99.8% purity.
