With exaggerated images, bold stroke of colors and unusual but wonderful art modeling, in recent years, creative art becomes more and more popular. Wang Yang is one creative art tarento in Qingdao.
On Road Dayao No. 1, Qingdao, there is an art classroom named “Tong Yi She”. Wang Yang, the painting tarento is the owner of this classroom. She is not only the teacher of many children who loves painting but also a pure fan of creative art.
At a very young age, Wang Yang was tightly bound to painting. “I was 5 years old when I started learning to paint.” Wang Yang recalled that during the childhood, her neighbors were Peking Opera actors and actresses of the old generation, so every time she went to play, the art atmosphere of her neighbors always intrigued her. Each time she played with the kids of her neighbors, they often drew a few images by imitating the facial makeup. As the time passed on, her interest in painting was stimulated.
In 1999 Wang Yang held the paint clip and went to school in Beijing. To learn her favorite painting, Wang Yang even secretly changed her major in college. “At that time my family chose the major of international English. I secretly changed it to art appreciation. The former’s tuition is about 8000 Yuan while that of the later is 20,000. I had to earn the insufficient part by painting.” Wang Yang said she “drifted” in Beijing for 4 years and earned her tuition and living expenses by painting and imitating. Although the life was rather tough at that time, her level of painting has improved dramatically and her understanding of art has enhanced to a higher level.
After coming back to Qingdao after graduation, Wang Yang became an employee of a large enterprise “by mistake”. Although she lived a decent white-collar life with the monthly salary of over 10,000 Yuan, this kind of life isn’t what she wants. “Painting is my dream since I was a kid. Although the white-collar life was comfortable, the time for painting was more or less occupied. After psychological struggles, I am more inclined to painting. I want to stick with my dream.” In 2011, Wang Yang picked up her favorite painting and began to study creative art. She firstly took an over 60-year-old traditional Chinese painting master as her teacher to consolidate her art fundamentals, practice divergent thinking as much as possible and focus on creative painting. “Take a bird for instance. I try to paint it in different styles such as watercolor, colored pencil and oil painting etc. to find out the common. Then paint once more to make it more creative.” Wang Yang said creative art gradually made her artworks more and more exaggerated and boldly expressed. After research and creation days and months, in 2014 Wang Yang passed the examination of International Certificated Art Educational Guidance Teacher, which gives a pair of “wings” for her dream.
Nowadays the art classroom of Wang Yang is not only the gathering place of her friends in the circle to conduct art creation, but also a little paradise for kids to learn painting. “Here I teacher kids art fundamentals. What is more important for me is to train the creative thinking of the kids.” For example after kids draw a flower, she would ask them to stick a paper flowers made of crumpled paper on the original picture. It is more vivid and stereoscopic. According to the introduction of Wang Yang, teaching kids creative painting is also a kind of enhancement of her creative thinking. It can let her feel more truly about art with the kids, shape the future with art and seek the artworks which truly belong to herself. Yang Bowen
