The Qingdao municipal air first aid launch ceremony was held in the Municipal 120 First Aid Center on the morning of May 3. It means the helicopter joins the Qingdao municipal first aid system. This is the 1st project jointly participated by 120 first aid center and civil aviation agency in Shandong province and China.
The center prefers to cooperate with the nongovernment capital. On January 12, a first aid helicopter landed in the center. On May 3, the Qingdao Municipal First Aid Center, the municipal hospital and the municipal No.3 people’s hospital signed an agreement with the King Wing Aviation Company that owns the helicopter separately. The helicopter transport and air first aid mainly used for 3 scenarios: the 1st is when serious traffic accidents occur in areas that cannot be reached by ambulance, or in express highway or bridge; the 2nd is when accidents occur in remote areas those cannot be reached by the ambulance in time whereas the patients needed to be sent to nearby hospital for medical treatment; the 3rd is when saving patients in severe condition.
10 districts and cities of Qingdao currently have over 110 first aid stations, 22 of which are in urban area. In 2017, Qingdao is going to newly add 8 first aid stations in the urban area. In the next 4 years from 2018, Qingdao will newly establish first aid stations according to the plan to ensure every 40,000 residents have 1 first aid unit. (Sui Jun) [the 1st Air 120 helicopter]
