The International Extreme Yacht Games, which are called as marine F1, will come to the Qingdao Olympics Sailing Center for the consecutive 7th year during 28th of April to 1st of May. 6 to 7 top-level yacht teams from the world will contest in Fushan bay. Nearly 40 players are all world-leading players, some of them are Olympics champions, world games champion, and America Cup champion.

    3 of 4 days of Marunze Cup game will be held in the Labor Day holiday, it will offer chances for the city residents and visitors to enjoy the game in best seeing seats such as lover’s bay of the center, and May 4th Square.

    As famous as the America Cup sailing competition and Volov Round the World game, international extreme sailing series game is one of 5 special games certified by the World Sailing Association. It is exciting and worth seeing because of the high sailing speeds and limited sailing area. The Municipal Sailing Sports Management Center deputy director Wang Yong said, the new GC32 water wing dual body yacht is adopted in the game start from last season, although it is 32.8 feet long, shorter than 40 feet of the previous 40 dual body ship, it is able to gain faster sailing speed because of water wing design.

    This season’s game has 8 legs; Qingdao is the No.2 next to the Muscat leg of Amman. The game also will come to Madeira of Portugal, Hamburg of Germany, Cardiff of UK, Santiago of US, and Los Cabos of Mexico. 6 teams, including Alingi from Sweden and Amman Airlines will participate in the whole competition, a foreign team with Chinese members also will join the Qingdao leg game.
