Behring, an American philanthropist, donated animal specimen to Qingdao for the third time, including 120 species, such as pronghorn and musk ox.
263 specimens of rare animals, the third batch donated by Mr. Kenneth Behring, who is an internationally renowned philanthropist and famous wild animal specimen collector, have recently arrived in Qingdao after being qualified by the inspection and quarantine bureau. So far Mr. Belin has donated to Qingdao cumulatively 277 specimens of rare animals over three different occasions.
Three batches of specimens arrived in Qingdao one by one
On the 13th of July 2016, the first batch of 8 rare animal specimens donated by Mr. Kenneth Behring came to Qingdao after passing the inspection and quarantine, including 4 species such as the African Lion, Chacma Baboon, and Back Hanuman and the total value is about 7,000 USD. On the 19th of July 2016, the second batch of specimens donated by Mr. Behring arrived in Qingdao, which included 4 species and 6 specimens namely, African Lion, African Elephant, giraffe, and ratel and are worth about 73,900 USD. On February 6th, the third batch donated by Mr. Behring, 263 specimens of 120 species and worth 50,300 USD, arrived in Qingdao. The specimens range from large animals such as pronghorn and musk ox to little animals such as jumping hares and chipmunks. It is said that Mr. Behring will donate over 400 specimens of rare animals to Qingdao and the specimens will be delivered to Qingdao in batches.
Settle down in Qingdao Behring Nature Museum
It is said that these animal specimens will settle down in the Qingdao Behring Nature Museum. The museum will resort to high technology means including advanced sound & photo-electricity image and interaction to revert these over 400 animal specimens to the actual gathering scenes in different continents.
According to the person in charge of the Qingdao Behring Nature Museum, Qingdao Behring Nature Museum will cover an area of about 3,000 square meters; After completion, the museum will be divided into different sections including the Magnificent North America, Wild Africa, and Charming Europe and Asia and interesting science and technology experience projects will also be added including an animal AR telescope interaction and a ramble in the North Pole It is said that the entire museum project will be completed at the end of this September.
