Stuart Crainer, the co-founder of the 1st management thinkers rank list in the world and the author of The Management Century, has recently announced in Qingdao that Haier will be chosen as the 1st research base of Thinkers50, and Thinkers50 thoughts lab (China) will be set up in Qingdao. On the same day Haier Group and Thinkers50 signed the agreement to launch Thinkers50 thoughts lab & Haier business mode research base.

    Thinkers50, which enjoys the fame as the Business Thoughts Oscar Award, was launched in 2001. It is held every 2 years, aiming to identify, rank and share the best management thoughts. Previously Thinkers50 focused on western companies more. In recent years, it has highly recognized innovative practice and People-order-in-one mode of Haier in building Internet companies. In 2015, the Haier Group board director and CEO Zhang Ruimin was awarded The Best Ideology Practice Award of Thinkers50, to be the only Chinese entrepreneur who got the award by far.

    Crainer said the reason why he chose Qingdao to build the China lab is “hoping base in Qingdao enables us to know more about excellent innovation of Haier management and management and leadership of China in the 21st century.”
