The Qingdao Municipal Government and Renmin University of China (RUC) have signed an overall strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing on the 1st of November. According to the agreement, both parties will establish an overall cooperation relationship and a long term cooperation mechanism, and they will launch deep level, all covered and multi area cooperation in scientific cooperation, innovation and entrepreneurship, talent cultivation, international exchanges and such matters to boost cooperation and a win-win situation for two parties and helping Qingdao to build itself to be a City of Innovation, City of Entrepreneurship, and City of Makers.

    Qingdao now has signed the overall strategic cooperation agreement with 24 colleges, it gathers high quality colleges, and the talent number of Qingdao has reached 1.6 million. The signing with RUC will surely boost high quality talent cultivation and high education development.

    According to the agreement, both parties will deepen the decision-making consulting cooperation and strengthen the science and tech exchange and high-end talent exchange and cultivation, expand innovation, and entrepreneurship cooperation. Both parties will build a government think tank and the RUC Qingdao research institute for joint scientific research, and mutual talent exchanges and study activities will be held.
