The Qingdao Municipal Economy and Information Commission released the 4th batch of enterprise tech innovation key projects in 2016 recently, and 307 tech innovation projects from 133 enterprises are approved. Currently, in 2016, the city has guided 382 enterprises to implement 1,161 projects. 634 projects fall in the category of CNY 1-5 million budget, accounting for 54.6% of all the projects; 149 projects are with CNY 5 million or above budget, accounting for 12.8% of all.

    According to statistics, in 2015, 999 mid-and-large scale enterprises of Qingdao conduct R&D, increasing by18.8% over the same period of 2014 and accounts for 20.5% of all. In 2015, 465 enterprises implement R&D cost kake deduction policy, 31% more than in 2014. In the 1st half of 2016, mid-and-large scale enterprises of the city have applied 5,045 patents in total, increasing by 7.7% over the same period of 2015; the invention patent has increased by 27.9%.

    By now in 2016, Qingdao has made great efforts in supporting tech innovation projects conducted by enterprises in ten 100-billion-worth-indusry chain and strategic emerging industry, for example, according to the 4th batch projects released by the Qingdao municipal economy and information committee, 223 projects are in 10 ten-billion-worth industry chain such as IT, household electric appliance industry, mechanical equipment, auto, rail transportation equipment, and 58 projects are in biomedicine, new energy, new materials, energy-saving and eco-friendly, and light industry area.
