The “2016 Qingdao China PPP Forum” was held in Qingdao on June 21st and 22nd.
The forum is themed with “PPP and New-type Urbanization”. Many veteran experts from the UN, World Bank, UK, France, Portugal, Spain, Australia, Japan and Singapore and other countries and regions and related people from China shared their experience and inspiration by focusing on PPP and new-type urbanization.
China can refer to the international experience in urbanization shown in the forum. The discussion has been made in the forum to achieve through the mode of PPP, the people-oriented and sustainable development goals (SDGs) put forward in the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. Moreover, the forum can act as a high-level communication platform on many issues including how to find solutions to the existing problems in Chinese urbanization with the mode of PPP.
Qingdao has taken the lead to launch PPP mode in China. Currently there are over 50 PPP projects in many fields ranging from infrastructure and social livelihood and attracting a total estimated investment of 276.5 billion Yuan.
