42-year-old Liu Shenghua lives in Bali village of Guxian town in Pingdu of Qingdao, just 1.5 meters tall; she takes care of a family with 7 members in her 19 years of marriage. Besides her husband, two teenage daughters, she also takes care of her parents-in-law and never-grown-up 2nd brother-of –his husband, and farm work in her 12 mu fields.

    In the winter of 2010, her mother-in-law with chronic disease was sent to hospital for cerebral infection, days later her father-in-law who also once had cerebral infection also was sent to hospital for aworsening disease. Liu asked the doctor to arrange two old people in the neighboring rooms, and she took care of both people by herself.

    After the two people left hospital, Liu let the two sleep on the Kang, and she made the Kang so warm to care for her two parents-in-law.

    Liu does not want her mother-in-law to be in a persistent vegetative state forever; she brought her to receive acupuncture therapy for over 200 days in Jianggezhuang village dozens of mile away from home. Her mother-in-law eventually became better, although she cannot speak, she knows every thing in her heart. She is often so moved to shed tears.
