The former site of the Qingdao Mountain Fort Barbette is the only existing site of the First World War in Far East region, where special historical memory can be found. According to the latest planning, a museum dedicated to the former site of the First World War with a total area of nearly 10,000 square meters will be built up in the future.
According to the plan, the appearance of the museum for the former site of the First World War is derived from the folded paper-folded peace dove, which can well interpret the topic “praying for peace” with vivid images of spreading the wings to fly. The building will consist of three floors on ground and two floors underground. On the ground floors, there will be exhibition area, film and TV education hall for teenagers, tourist service center and public service area.
