The Arts Exhibition City, which is a large art works exchange platform integrating exhibition and trade, cultural exchange and tourism and sightseeing, is built in Zhangjialou town of the Qingdao West Coast New Zone.

    Now the 1st phase project of the city has been put into trial operation. Over 20 companies settled in the city, some of them are companies in painter village nearby or art works companies, some of which are from other places such as Shenzhen and Yiwu.

    The city covers an area of 100,000 square meters, with a CNY 800 million investment and completed construction area of 50,000 square meters. To enhance the environment of its core area, Qingdao built a 10,000 square meters art square, 8,000 square meters mountain park, 2,000 square meters parking lot, and 7,000 square meters restaurants. Over 1,000 shops can be available after the project is completed. It is able to include over 1,000 famous cultural industry companies and painters. Art works such as painting, Chinese painting, wood block, sculpture, and stone carving are the main business. It is predicted that the annual trade sum will reach CNY 2 billion after operation starts and it will be a large art works exchange platform integrating exhibition and trade, cultural exchange and tourism and sightseeing, as well as a new landmark of Qingdao.
