A young man from Henan Province has been reduced to living in a cave in Qingdao, Shandong Province, after wandering the streets for almost one year, Qingdao Morning Post reported.　　

　　Xiao, now aged 19, told local police that he suffered from a minor mental disorder after his failure in last year's national college entrance examination.

　　Extremely depressed by his failure, he had a fierce quarrel with his father and then left home in July.

　　During the past year, Xiao lived as a beggar. He moved into the cave last month and was soon discovered by local residents.

　　Local police later contacted Xiao's father, who was very excited to hear that his son had been found.
